S'been awhile!
Hello everyone, a happy belated Wet Day to you all. We're back with a new monthly newsletter to keep you up to date with all things Earwolf!
Urgent Care — the final episode Unfortunately, we're kicking this one off with sad news. We had to bid farewell to Urgent Care with Joel Kim Booster and Mitra Jouhari. It's been so fun to watch their careers take off, and while that means not enough time for podcasting, it's exciting to see them more and more on our tv and movie screens! Thanks Joel and Mitra for all the laughs and advice, and thank you Chefs for listening. Humanity's Podcast The backyard era of Comedy Bang! Bang! continues, and there have been some amazing episodes. For all you Severance heads out there (Sev Heads, I like to call them), you won't want to miss episode #751 with Adam Scott, shoe designer Thomas Mashed-Potatoes (Will Hines), and novelist Mariska Beenaboutta (Suzi Barett).
The following episode gave us the instant classic Wet Day special with Paul F. Tompkins, grandfathers Spike and Ike Minksalmon (Drew Tarver), and financial advisor Doug Gropes (Ryan Gaul). Stay away from my granddaughter. Don't Mess with The Boz How Did This Get Made? returned to Largo for live shows! Paul, June, and Jason covered the 1991 action film, Stone Cold, starring Lance Henriksen and NFL star Brian Bosworth (aka The Boz). You'll get a lot of mullet on mullet action, and weird smoothies. It's a movie that'll leave you asking "Where is his Komodo dragon!?" Join the Earwolf Crew ๐ง Have you been working in a career for a few years that you don't love? Are you interested in getting into podcast production, but don't have the experience? Earwolf is currently hiring for a Breakthrough Fellow in Los Angeles!
The Stitcher Breakthrough Fellowship is designed to help recruit diverse talent and promote inclusivity in podcasting. As a fellow you will learn the ins and outs of podcast production both from the audio engineering & producing side of podcast creation.
The fellow ship pays $25 an hour and lasts for 6 months.
That's all for this month. Thanks for reading and thanks for listening! See you next time.
